Refund Policy
How refunds work for Benedict Corp. software: Benedict Invoice purchases through Paddle, direct orders and services, and free open-source software — without limiting your legal rights.
Effective date: October 17, 2026
Who This Policy Applies To
This Refund Policy applies to software, licenses, and services sold under the trading name Benedict Corp. by Dmytro Belykh, a sole proprietor in Lithuania (see the Terms of Use). How refunds work depends on what you bought and how:
- Benedict Invoice purchased through Paddle — see "Benedict Invoice Purchases Through Paddle".
- Software licenses and services bought directly from us under an order and invoice — Benedict App, Benedict Finance, custom development, implementation, consulting, and support. See "Direct Orders".
- Free software such as Benedict PDF, which has no purchase to refund.
We do not offer an additional, voluntary change-of-mind or money-back guarantee once software has been delivered. That does not remove the rights described below: remedies for software that is defective or does not match its description, statutory consumer rights, and Paddle's own buyer and refund terms all still apply.
Nothing in this Policy limits rights that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
Benedict Invoice Purchases Through Paddle
Where you buy Benedict Invoice through Paddle, Paddle is the Merchant of Record for that transaction, and refund requests are governed by Paddle's Refund Policy and Buyer Terms. Those documents are Paddle's and can change, so please read the current versions. Paddle may issue refunds under its own terms, and nothing in this Policy restricts that.
In summary, under Paddle's Refund Policy as published at the time of writing, transactions are generally non-refundable, but Paddle may, at its sole discretion, refund a request made within 14 days of the transaction date. A request within 14 days does not guarantee a refund: Paddle reviews each request individually and may approve it in full, in part, or decline it.
Statutory rights apply regardless. For example, consumers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the UK may have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from certain digital content contracts. Under EU rules, that right is lost for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium only where supply has begun and you gave prior express consent to supply during the withdrawal period, acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal, and received confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement. Downloading or installing the software does not by itself remove that right. Other countries have their own rules. These rights override this Policy and Paddle's policy.
To request a refund for a Paddle purchase, contact Paddle using the link on your receipt or through the Paddle Help Center, with your transaction details. You can also write to us at info@benedictcorp.com. Paddle decides discretionary refund requests for Paddle purchases.
Approved refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method where possible, and access to the product may end when a refund is issued.
Software That Is Defective or Not as Described
If software you bought from us has a defect or does not match its description, contact us at info@benedictcorp.com. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be entitled to have it brought into conformity — for example by a fix or an update — to a price reduction, or to a refund. These remedies apply even though there is no change-of-mind guarantee.
Benedict Corp. also offers a 30-day commercial warranty, described in the Terms of Use, in addition to those rights.
For Benedict Invoice bought through Paddle, you can also contact Paddle: its Refund Policy provides for refunds where there is evidence of a material technical or product defect, in line with consumer protection law.
Direct Orders
Software licenses and services bought directly from us are agreed in a written order, quote, statement of work, or contract and invoiced by Benedict Corp. The order sets out what is delivered and on what terms.
Software Licenses (Benedict App, Benedict Finance)
There is no change-of-mind refund once the software has been delivered or implemented. Remedies for software that is defective or does not match its description, and any statutory rights that apply, are not affected.
Implementation, Custom Development, Consulting, and Support
Fees for services are governed by the order. Unless the order states otherwise or mandatory law applies, payments by business clients for direct orders are final and non-refundable, and a Pilot Setup Fee is non-refundable if the client does not proceed (see the Terms of Use). This does not affect remedies where work was not delivered as agreed.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights of withdrawal and the legal guarantee of conformity apply to direct purchases as described in the Terms of Use.
Free and Open-Source Software
Benedict PDF is free and open source under the MIT License, so there is nothing to refund. Voluntary contributions are not purchases of software and are processed by Stripe; if you made a contribution by mistake, contact us at info@benedictcorp.com.
