Benedict App: pricing, licensing, deployment, and support.

Benedict App is time tracking and billing control for professional teams. Employees record time against clients and projects, Team Leads review it, and administrators apply billing rates and prepare financial reports — in a web application deployed in your organization's own Microsoft Azure environment. It is designed for teams that bill clients for their time, such as legal, accounting, advisory, and consulting teams.

Preparation for customer deployments is ongoing, and timing is agreed directly with each customer. You can preview the application in the interactive demo, and contact us to discuss your deployment.

No. It is licensed software deployed in your own Azure environment, not a service hosted by Benedict Corp. You receive a perpetual license for the internal business use of your group of companies, as identified in your order. It is a license, not a transfer of ownership: resale, distribution to unrelated organizations, and sublicensing are not permitted unless expressly agreed. See our Terms of Use.

The license price is agreed in your order; there is no public price list. Azure hosting is separate: it runs on your own Azure subscription and is billed to you by Microsoft, and its cost depends on your usage, region, and configuration.

In your own Azure SQL database, in the Azure subscription your organization controls. Benedict Corp. does not run a central database of customers' time or billing records, and does not need routine access to your records for the application to work. If access is needed for deployment or support, it happens only with permissions you grant and on terms agreed with you — including data processing terms where personal data is involved.

The application uses Microsoft Entra ID for sign-in, so people sign in with accounts in your organization's Microsoft tenant. Exact identity and licensing requirements depend on your deployment configuration, and we confirm them with you before deployment.

Recorded time is what an employee actually worked. Billable time is what will be billed after review. They can differ: if someone records 5 hours and a reviewer decides 3 should be billed, the entry keeps both figures and shows a Time/Bill ratio of 60%. The original recorded time is preserved, and a ratio below 100% may simply reflect a deliberate billing decision.

Yes. Team Leads review and approve their team's entries and can adjust billable time where permitted. Their access is limited to their team — they don't get company-wide access by default — and they can't review or adjust their own entries as if they were a team member's. Permissions are checked by the application's server, not only by what the screen shows.

Yes. Each project has its own currency, and billing rates must be set in that currency. Totals are kept separately for each currency, and Benedict App does not convert between currencies. A report can't be finalised while a required rate is missing.

Finalising a report fixes its entries, billable time, rates, amounts, and currency as a snapshot. Later changes — for example to an employee's rate or a project's name — don't rewrite it. If a finalised report needs correcting, it can be cancelled and regenerated as a new version; the cancelled version stays in the report history. A draft that was never finalised can simply be discarded.

Yes. You can export time records to Excel using your current filters, export reports (finalised reports use their fixed data), and download several exports together as a ZIP file. Exports follow each person's permissions. How long a large export takes depends on your data and your Azure configuration.

No. Benedict App supports billing preparation and review. Its financial reports are not invoices or tax documents, and it does not request or process payments. Benedict Invoice is a separate product in development, and the two are not integrated.

For 30 days after delivery, the commercial warranty covers reproducible defects within its scope and reasonable initial guidance on using the application. Critical updates are offered to you for installation; they are not installed in your environment automatically, and Benedict Corp. does not change your deployment without your authorization. After the first 30 days, support is provided under our Terms of Use or a paid order. Your statutory rights apply separately.

Azure is our preferred and tested deployment method. If your organization needs a different hosting option, we are open to reviewing it with you, and any alternative is assessed and agreed for your deployment.

Tell us what your organization requires. Requirements such as private networking or restricted database connectivity are assessed for your deployment; they are not part of every installation by default.

Yes. Benedict App is flexible and can be adjusted to your organization's needs as a Custom Order — including, where it fits, a Microsoft Power Platform implementation. Scope, feasibility, price, and delivery are agreed for each engagement; see our Terms of Use.

Yes. The Benedict App interactive demo at app.benedictcorp.store runs the application interface with a fictional company, its people, clients, projects, and several months of time records. You can switch between the User, Team Lead, and Admin roles. No registration or Microsoft account is needed.

It uses the real application's interface, but not its server, database, or sign-in: everything runs in your browser with fictional data, and the roles are simulated. Downloadable exports in the demo are prebuilt sample files and do not include changes you make. The demo is also separate from our internal evaluation environment, which is used only by Benedict Corp.

Not to any account or server. Your changes are kept in your browser's session storage, so they survive a page refresh and are normally cleared when the tab's session ends — although a browser that restores your previous session may bring them back. A timer you start is kept in local storage and can remain after the tab is closed. Use Reset in the demo to clear the demo data and the timer. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.
